For Teachers
The UC San Diego Science Project partners with K-12 educators and scientists across San Diego and Imperial Counties to strengthen science teaching and learning. For teachers, that means three ways to grow with us. The Curriculum Resource Hub gathers classroom-ready units, lessons, data tools, and assessments developed with UC San Diego and Scripps researchers and our teacher leaders, free to use with your students. The Teacher Leader Academy is a free, year-long program for experienced science teachers who want to lead beyond their classrooms through curriculum design, assessment, coaching, or facilitating professional learning. Our Programs page introduces our grant-funded programs, from Climate Champions to the Science of Sound and Music, so you can find the workshops, communities, and resources that match your teaching.
Curriculum Resource Hub
Instructional units, lessons, media literacy tools, and assessment resources for anchoring climate instruction in local phenomena, from full multi-week units to a single podcast episode that can spark tomorrow's discussion.
UCSD-SP Teacher Leader Academy
The UC San Diego Science Project Teacher Leader Academy supports educators in developing their leadership skills and strengthening science instruction. Through professional learning, collaboration, and classroom-based coaching, participating teachers build their capacity to lead meaningful science learning experiences and share effective practices with their school communities.
